![]()
The history-making show -- still going strong since October 7, 1982, it passed A Chorus Line as the longest-running Broadway show ever on June 19, 1997 with it's 6,198th performance -- will play the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati July 15-20, 1997.
Tickets ($31.50 -- $40.00) can be purchased at the Aronoff Center box office or any Ticketmaster location. To charge tickets by phone, call 513-241-7469. Cats is based on a collection of whimsical poems titled Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot, published in 1939. Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical won seven Tony Awards in 1983, including Best Musical. The haunting beauty of its hit song, "Memory" -- since recorded more than 600 times by artists Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow and Judy Collins, among many others -- and the electrifying energy of the performances send one soaring!
